SHOPIFY SEO SERVICES

Shopify SEO that fixes
what the platform gets wrong.

Shopify is good for SEO out of the box and still leaves real problems behind: duplicate product URLs, thin collection pages, heavy apps and unchecked AI crawlers. We find them, fix them in the theme, and build the content that earns the rankings.

01 / WHERE SHOPIFY STORES LOSE SEARCH

The defaults
cost you rankings.

Most Shopify stores are fine on the basics and quietly broken on the details that decide who ranks.

DUPLICATE URLS

One product, up to six addresses

A product in five collections is reachable at six URLs, and default theme links send crawlers to the duplicates.

THIN PAGES

Collections that are just link lists

No intro, no H1, manufacturer descriptions copied from the supplier. Nothing for Google to rank.

SLOW APPS

Apps that wreck speed

Every installed app adds script. Heavy themes and apps push stores past Google’s speed thresholds.

EXAMPLE ENGAGEMENT

A skincare brand with 300 products

Strong products and ad spend, but organic traffic was flat. Every product was linked through its collection, collections were bare grids, and ingredient questions had no pages.

  1. Free audit: found the duplicate-URL and thin-collection patterns in one afternoon
  2. Fixed product links, canonicals and meta fields in the theme
  3. Built an ingredient library, linked both ways to the products that use each one

02 / HOW WE WORK

Audit, fix,
then build content.

Technical fixes first, because content on a leaky store is wasted.

  1. Free SEO auditFREE

We crawl the store as Google does and send a ranked list of what to fix, in plain English.

  2. Fix the theme, not the symptoms

Clean product links, canonicals, filter and tag handling, meta fields, redirects and speed. Done in the theme so it stays fixed.

  3. Structured data

Product, offer, organization and breadcrumb schema that makes price, availability and brand unambiguous to machines.

  4. Content that answers buyers

Collection intros, product copy written from real specs, and guides and ingredient or comparison pages that match how people ask.

  5. Measure and keep going

Search Console and analytics tracked monthly. We report what moved, and what didn’t, honestly.

03 / WHAT’S INCLUDED

Technical, content
and AI search.

Everything that decides whether a Shopify store gets found.

Technical SEO fixes

Duplicate URLs, canonicals, robots, filters, pagination, redirects and Core Web Vitals.

Collection and product pages

Unique titles, intros and descriptions, written to rank and to sell.

Structured data

Complete Product, Offer, Organization and BreadcrumbList markup, validated.

Content hubs

Buying guides, comparisons and a content model (like LUMIQ’s ingredient library) linked both ways to products.

Migration protection

URL mapping and 301 redirects so a redesign or replatform keeps what you’ve earned.

AI-search readiness

Answer crawlers allowed, a clear brand entity, factual extractable content. Mostly excellent classic SEO.

04 / THE ROI LENS

Fix the leaks
before the content.

Typical Shopify defaults, and what the work changes.

Run your own numbers

Where typical Shopify defaults leave a store, and what the work changes. Not a client result; your audit shows your own numbers.

05 / WHAT WE WON’T BUILD

Saying no is
part of the job.

Most automation fails because someone automated the wrong thing. These are the builds we turn down.

  • Promise page-one rankings or a timeline
  • Stuff collection pages with keywords
  • Buy links
  • Sell “AI SEO” tricks. The same good pages win in AI answers
  • Block AI search crawlers by default

GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you book.

See how we build stores
Is Shopify good for SEO?

Yes, for the basics: clean URLs, automatic sitemaps, an editable robots file and fast hosting. The problems are in the details: duplicate collection-path product URLs, thin collection pages, unedited meta fields and heavy apps. Those are fixable in the theme.

How is AI search different from normal SEO?

Google states there are no extra requirements for AI Overviews and no special markup. The same crawlable, factual, well-structured, well-linked pages win. What you control: allow the AI search crawlers in robots.txt, keep structured data complete, build a clear brand entity and publish content that answers buyers’ real questions.

How long does Shopify SEO take?

Technical fixes show up in weeks; content-led rankings usually take months. Be wary of anyone who promises a date or a position.

Do you do SEO for stores you didn’t build?

Yes. We start with a free audit of any Shopify store, and fix issues in the theme with your approval.

How much does it cost?

There is no package price. The audit is free, and we scope the first piece of work with you before you pay anything. After that, each build is quoted in writing against what it saves or earns you, and you approve it before we start. No hourly billing and no surprise invoices.

Who owns the code and accounts?

You do. We work in your repositories, cloud accounts and tools from day one, so nothing has to be handed over at the end. Documentation and access are part of every delivery.
